| About Owl House, no. 710 Oak Lane Estate
Owl House is a lovely, comfortable 3 bedroom house in the very popular Oak Lane Estate. The stylish lounge, with fireplace and DSTV, opens onto a private and sheltered outside living area, ideal for braais and get togethers. Kettle braai is provided and will be made available for guests by the staff prior to check in.
All the bedrooms are ensuite. The master bedroom has a full bathroom, shower and bath, as does the 2nd double bedroom.
The twin bedroom has an offsuite bathroom with shower. The well equipped kitchen ensures that you will be able to easily prepare any meal, with stove, under counter oven, dishwasher and microwave. Sufficient pots, pans, cutlery, crockery etc, for a group of 6 persons.
A coffee machine is provided, with lovely ground coffee to welcome you to the house. Please remember to bring your own for the rest of the weekend, or to buy at any of the coffee shops in town, who sell high quality coffee.
Parking is not under cover, but the Estate is safe, with controlled gate access and regular security patrols throughout the day and night.
There are also fishing permits for guests; you can fish in either the dam at the bottom end of the Oak Lane estate, or you can go a little further up to the “top” dam for anadditional fishing venue. Underfloor heating: please note that this will be set to ambient room temperature, so that the house will not be chilly on your arrival. Please DO NOT adjust the thermostats under any circumstance. They have been set at the recommended temperature to ensure your comfort.
Each bed has electric blankets for very cold nights, and the fireplace will also heat up the house. A bundle of wood per day is provided, please supply additional if required. All linen is high quality percale cotton and extra blankets are also provided. The house is not situated directly on the dam, but it is only a couple of minutes stroll down to the dam. |
